"The Amalfi Coast is the definition of 'La Dolce Vita'. I arrived in Sorrento and took the SITA bus along the coast — a white-knuckle ride with some of the best views on earth. Rovago had me staying in a small B&B in Praiano (quieter and cheaper than Positano). My first activity was just walking down the 300 steps to one of the hidden beach clubs for an Aperol Spritz. The water is so clear you can see the pebbles thirty feet down. It’s every postcard come to life."

"Positano is steep. I spent a morning climbing the vertical streets, stopping at every ceramics shop and linen boutique. I booked a private boat tour to Capri melalui Klook and it was the highlight of the week. Swimming in the Green Grotto and seeing the Faraglioni rocks from the water is the only way to truly see the coastline. I used Expedia to find a hotel with a terrace — breakfast overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea is worth the premium."

"The Path of the Gods (Sentiero degli Dei) is one of the best hikes in Europe. I took the bus up to Bomerano and walked for three hours down to Positano. The views are dizzying. I used my Airalo eSIM to track my progress on the trail; the signal never dropped. Rovago suggested starting at 8am to avoid the heat, and they were right. By noon, the sun is punishing. I recompensensed myself with a massive lemon sorbet served inside a hollowed-out Amalfi lemon."

"Ravello is the sophisticated cousin of the seaside towns. It sits 350 meters above the sea and is home to the Villa Rufolo and Villa Cimbrone gardens. The 'Infinity Terrace' at Villa Cimbrone is arguably the most beautiful view in Italy. I booked my entrance tickets through Viator which included a local guide who explained the history of the families that built them. NOLA is soul, but Ravello is pure elegance."

"Dinner in Amalfi town at a local trattoria: Paccheri with monkfish and a bottle of Greco di Tufo. The food here is all about the sea and the citrus. I used Rovago to find a cooking class where we learned to make authentic Limoncello and fresh ravioli. I also made sure my SafetyWing insurance was active — those coastal roads are beautiful but one trip on a moped and you'll be glad you have it. The Amalfi experience is about slowing down and letting the coast reveal itself."

"My final sunset was on the ferry back to Sorrento. Seeing the lights of the towns flicker on along the cliffs is a sight I'll carry forever. The Amalfi Coast is a place that feels like it shouldn't exist — houses built on slopes too steep for any sanity. I left with three bottles of Limoncello, a ceramic plate, and a deep sense of 'dolce far niente' (the sweetness of doing nothing). If you're planning a trip, let Rovago handle the logistics so you can just focus on the sorbet. Inspiration is everywhere. Map your journey with Rovago and step boldly into the unknown."
