"Cape Town is arguably the most beautiful city in the world. I landed and Rovago had booked me a hotel at the V&A Waterfront. My first stop was the Table Mountain cableway. I booked my 'afternoon' ticket through Klook to get the best light. Standing on top of that flat-topped mountain looking out over the Atlantic and Indian Oceans is a moment that shifts your perspective. South Africa’s scale is just different."

"I did a day trip to the Cape Peninsula — Chapman’s Peak Drive, the penguins at Boulders Beach, and the Cape of Good Hope. It’s one of the most scenic drives on the planet. I booked a tour melalui Viator so I could just stare out the window. Seeing those penguins waddle around in the wild is pure joy. I used Expedia to find a place in Camps Bay for the second half of my trip. The sunsets there are the best in the city."

"Stellenbosch and Franschhoek are just 45 minutes away. I took the Wine Tram and spent a whole day visiting historic estates like Spier and Delaire Graff. The wine is world-class and the prices are a joke compared to Europe or Napa. I used my Airalo eSIM to research the history of the Cape Dutch architecture while I sat under the oak trees with a glass of Chenin Blanc. Rovago also made sure I had a driver booked back to the city — wine and driving don't mix."

"Bo-Kaap is the most colorful neighborhood in the world. I spent an afternoon walking among the bright pink, blue, and lime-green houses. I booked a Cape Malay cooking class through Viator and learned how to make a proper samosa and chicken curry. The history of the community here is a vital part of the South African story. Cape Town is a city that wears its history in its streets. It’s powerful, it’s vibrant, and it’s essential."

"I did a shark cage diving trip in Gansbaai. It’s a 2-hour drive from the city. I made sure my SafetyWing insurance was active because, well, sharks. Seeing a Great White from behind the bars is something you never forget. It’s terrifying and humbling all at once. Rovago also suggested a backup activity (whale watching in Hermanus) in case the weather was too rough for the boat, which shows the level of detail they provide."

"My final night was a sunset cruise from the Waterfront. Watching Table Mountain turn orange and then purple as the sun dipped into the Atlantic is a sight that never gets old. Cape Town is a city that stays with you. It’s the edge of Africa, the merging of oceans, and a melting pot of cultures. I left with a case of wine, a wooden carving, and a promise to be back for the Garden Route. Rovago didn’t just plan a trip; they planned a life-changing experience. Stop dreaming and start packing.
